I had the fortunate opportunity today to interview Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. As you may know, he is the author of the Open Act, a bill that addresses copyright on the Internet and that is widely supported by the tech industry. We discussed the bill, the incredible opposition seen with SOPA and PIPA earlier in the year and the apple pies for which his congressional district is famous.
Many thanks to the Chairman and his staff who helped make this happen. We were able to do this just off the House Floor in between votes. And a shout out to Patrick in my old office for escorting me through the Capitol Building – getting in that quickly is a bit more cumbersome without a staff badge.
